Maggie Battista, founder, writer, photographer, gift box curator, is a community evangelist with more than 15 years of internet community building and outreach experience, connecting millions via sites like Lycos, Tripod and TripAdvisor. Maggie took a break from technology a few years ago to explore authentic food, fine dining and superior hospitality, and discovered the vibrant real world communities that emerge around food. She’s written for publications like Time Out New York, I.D. magazine and Hip Paris, and started eatboutique.com in 2007 to celebrate the best pure, local and comforting handmade foods. Maggie regularly drives long distances for one amazing night with a great chef, farmer or host.
