Rabelais Books in Portland, Maine is co-hosting a delicious Winter/Spring film series this February, March and April. Each evening features a foodie-centric film along with a meal inspired by that film. Attendees will mingle with other film fans as well as the featured chef, which always feels very special to us.
The very first event is on Sunday, February 14 and honors a modern food cult-classic, Chocolat. Aurora Provisions and Dean’s Sweets will provide the gorgeous food. We’ve personally tasted Dean’s Sweets and know that Valentine’s Day will be appropriately honored with their small-batch treats.
Bar Lola will cater for the showing of the French film Delicatessan on Sunday, March 7. And, El Rayo Taqueria will cater for the showing of Alfonso Arau’s Like Water For Chocolate on Sunday, April 7. All events start at 6:30pm. You can buy tickets for any of these events, and so many other great Maine events, at Rabelais’ co-host, One Longfellow Square. The Maine Ambassadors of Food and Drink is also a host.
