FridgeFridays started as a way to share what you eat, what you cook, what you love. And while we all typically pack our fridge with food we love or can afford, sometimes we buy (or keep) a few random things around to satiate a guilty pleasure (chocolate-yum!) or keep us strong and healthy (liquid vitamins-bleah!). Today, let’s discuss what you’re embarrassed by… I’ll start!

I’ve been experimenting with marmalades, jams and pickles as of late, using what’s fresh and available in bulk right now. For New England, that isn’t much. But we’ve found piles of grapefruit, oranges and lemons to reduce into sticky, sweet piles of mush. They’re delicious but I’m slightly embarassed at how long I’ve kept them around… There are some gorgeous recent concoctions up front, but in the way back, I’ve buried some old bitter grapefruit reductions that, well, may not taste very good right now.

What’s in your fridge? What single item in your fridge embarasses you? Remember to post a photo or blog post and tag it #FridgeFridays on Twitter!
