truffles Truffles & Roots Dinner at T. W. Food

The team at T. W. Food in Cambridge, MA really know their stuff. Tim and Bronwyn Wiechmann also happen to  get some of the best stuff in the world and are sharing it with their customers in two weeks. On January 28, they will feature a five course dinner to showcase winter root vegetables and gorgeous black perigord truffles.

The menu is a mouth-watering back drop to to this seasonal treat, featuring french chestnut soup with truffle cream, scrambled local eggs and a Berkshire pork stuffed pig’s trotter (pig foot) with sweet breads and brioche, all topped with delicate back truffle.

They’re also feature a delicious truffled cow’s milk cheese, tartufo pecorino (my favorite), and chocolate ice cream ball in a hazelnut crust for dessert. Vegetarians need not worry, as there’s a menu just for you.

Dinner is $79 for what is sure to be a spectacular five courses, and $119 with wine pairings.

T.W. Food is located at 377 Walden street, Cambridge, MA 0213. Reservations can be made by calling 617-864-4745. Also visit: twfoodrestaurant.com. (FYI, the above image is straight from their web site.)
