Day 1 in Northern Italy

Day 1 in Northern Italy

This is me standing under old wisteria vines that are in full bloom, vines that encircle the walls of the oldest university in Europe, in the small village of Pavia, just outside Milan. Pavia reminds me of certain nooks of Paris, only far more relaxed, such an unintentional scene. This may be my favorite place in Italy. Of course, I’ve only been here about 10 hours. I should wait another day or so before making such grand statements.
