We had a great visit from our dear friend Richard last night. (Richard was kind enough to host us down in Provincetown, Massachusetts, during fairer weather. Here are those photos.) We cooked a meal of several courses, went through several bottles of wine, made some nice dents in a bottle of vodka, and had long, fun talks by the fireplace. This morning, we had to say good-bye to Richard. He went back on his way with some fresh baked goods to visit his Mama up in Maine.
Some great highlights:
Apricot Glazed Tabasco Chicken Wings, recipe courtesy of and adapted from The Splendid Table.

Perfectly carmelized Brussels Sprouts, made in honor of Richard.

We hope to see Richard again soon, along with our other dear friend John.
